Who is the registered nurse?

A Nurse has done her graduation in nursing program from college or under affiliation from certain good university is the registered nurse (RN). Also she must have passed the licensing exam called the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX) to become registered.

Duties of RN:

RN takes care of the group of people or an individual and to help them to gain health by preventing diseases. They give medical support and care to the patients in hospitals under the guidance of doctors. 1.    Preparation during high school days:

In the high school you need to maintain academics and should have a high score for your subjects. You need to opt for science subjects. 2.    Enrollment in the Nursing program:

You can enroll your name for nursing program after completing graduation. Many of the community colleges offer a degree of associate of science which is for the period of two years or the Diploma in nursing which helps you taking licensing examination. You can also do 4year Bachelor degree course in science or 2 years Master’s degree course in nursing. After becoming the registered nurse, taking care of patients is the basic duty. The nurses have to take care and maintain reports regarding the health of patients. Any changes in  the health condition needs to be reported regularly to the physicians or the higher authority to avoid unexpected emergency. They need to plan out their duty on taking care and making patient recover illness. 5.    Knowing Remunerations: Depending on your specialization, and the location you are choosing, the pay differs.
